Two New Cases Of Coronavirus

 Confirmed In Lagos, Ogun



The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed two new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Lagos and Ogun states.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the health agency said the first case is a returning traveler while the second case is the contact of a previously confirmed case.
The NCDC added that as at 1pm on March 24, there are 42 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria, with discharged and one death recorded.
The tweet read: “2 new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria. 1 is in Lagos State & 1 in Ogun One case is a returning traveler.
“The second case is contact of a previously confirmed case As at 1pm on March 24, there are 42 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria-2 discharged, 1 death”
Breakdown of cases by states (as of Tuesday afternoon):
Lagos- 29
FCT- 7
Ogun- 3
Ekiti- 1
Oyo- 1
Edo- 1
Total: 42 confirmed cases

Update on Coronavirus: Chief of Staff to the President ( Buhari) Abba Kyari, tests positive

The Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.  
This update was revealed by a major source from the Federal Ministry of Health at about the early hours of Tuesday. 
The Chief is reported to have returned from Germany. More on the update on this report, the source, however, said the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), had tested negative but would be tested again in a few days.
